Additional Questions

If you have any other questions about the healing process check below!

First touch up is always free, anything after that will have a fee associated with it.

The general rule of thumb is to wait at least 3-4 weeks for your tattoo to fully go through its healing process before doing any outdoor activities like, sunbathing, swimming, sports, gardening, or hiking etc.

But it is generally safe after 3-4 days to resume gym activities, as long as you are practicing cleanliness and using extra sanitary precautions. We do suggest to wait at least 2-3 weeks before doing any intensive exercise, as contact with sweat, and unsanitary services can cause irritation, additional scarring, and even infection.

You should not submerge your fresh tattoo inside of pools, Jacuzzis, lakes, streams, oceans, baths, or any other type of still, sitting water for the first 3-4 weeks. Your new tattoo is an open wound and should not be exposed to bacteria. The risk of bacterial contamination with sitting, still, and natural water is very high and therefore necessary to avoid during the healing process. Showers are ok, and encouraged!

Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time, for 3-4 weeks, direct sunlight can overly dry the healing area, or cause premature fading.

This question varies as it is circumstantial, it depends how big, where it is located, if there is any friction in the area of the tattoo such as chaffing, or clothing, and if you followed the after care instruction correctly from the beginning.

Some best methods to use, are to stay out of the sun during the healing process and once healed use sunscreen whenever outside to help prevent break down in the pigments in the tattoo. Stay hydrated, get proper sleep, and a eat a well-balanced diet, to ensure your skin gets the good stuff it needs to stay hydrated and well-nourished.

And just remember aging is a key contributor to tattoos fading and is a beautiful but inevitable process. Aging changes properties to the skin and will result in a loss of density and thinning of the dermis losing some elasticity, which can cause the ink in your skin to change and fade.

Just remember the main risk factors that can accelerate tattoo aging is repetitive unprotected sun exposure, smoking, and not following after care instruction following a tattoo appointment. So do your best to moisturize and stay healthy. And remember you can always get some touch ups.

Most things in the healing process will itch, if its under the skin, and it normal for it to itch around the 4 day mark up to 2 weeks when it starts into its healing process. It should not be itching for more then 4 weeks.
